CALL TO PALM BEACH COUNTY VISUAL ARTISTS

Muse Awards 2011 - Visual Art needed at the celebration of arts and culture for Palm Beach County
The Palm Beach County Cultural Council’s Muse Awards honors individuals and organizations that help make Palm Beach County a better place to live and visit because of their artistic contributions to art and culture. Last year, more than 350 cultural enthusiasts attended the awards gala at the Kravis Center. Proceeds from the evening support the Council’s education programs. Most recently, over 130 school children from underserved communities were able to experience a cultural field trip.
For the first time, the Council will present the work of a visual artist or team of visual artists on each table at the 2011 Muse Awards. The Council is seeking proposals in the form of three drawings or computer renderings of a centerpiece for each of 34-42 round tables at the Muse Awards. The artist or team will be selected based on these drawing submissions. Depending upon the response, 2-3 artists/teams will be selected and awarded $250 each to produce one centerpiece for the purposes of making the final selection.
The winning Artist/Team will be paid $120 per table, but no less than $4,000 for this commission.
Please see the attached document for further information on this opportunity.
Additional information on the Muse Awards can be found at:
